54teen year’s young been skateboarding since I was seven , on the fist skateboards that arrived in NZ early 70s

Literal death machines bakerlite wheels trucks with no rubbers connected to a skinny plastic board that

would touch the ground if you stood in the middle of it , but they worked and it was the beginning

of my interest in boarding, have bought many skateboards over a period of 48 years and have watched

the evolution of boards and the sport itself excel to where it is now.

The evolve stoke is my second electric skateboard, and a far different beast than my first.

This super smooth carving machine demands respect ! Found the controls little to sensitive in comparison with my last board ,gradual acceleration and braking were a standard feature of each different mode ,which is way safer on take off and stopping . Got spat off the front giving the brakes a little to much to soon, plenty to be wary of , to much on the trigger can send you. Getting used to the controls after my third week of draining the battery every day , throughly enjoying this ride, the feel is like no other board I have ridden ,definitely that snowboard surfy feel , carving down pavements at age 54 doing 30clicks is exhilarating, can’t get enough of the stoke beast ,but beware be careful and ride to survive the rest is pure fun.
